The Netflix platform released The Adam Project a few days ago, starring Ryan Reynolds, and of course, Reynolds’ presence is the first bet for the success of a work, especially since his story about time travel is a theme that many fear is repeated.
But is it different in that work?? Let’s start with the story.
Script and Dialogue:
The script relied on a mixture of comedy, drama and science fiction, and that combination was very successful. The main story, although it may be traditional, is to travel through time in order to carry out a mission, but it was dealt with in a way that carried innovations that made the scenario run in an entertaining and enjoyable way.
Perhaps the only negative point in the scenario is the aspect of science fiction related to time travel, as that point suffered from a lot of laziness in order to be a driver of events most of the time without looking to establish special rules for events related to travel through the past that are highly convincing without To be just matching points to advance events.
But all the other aspects of the scenario were successful. The story’s progression and escalation came well and entertaining as we mentioned, and the dramatic aspect was shown well and successfully. The relationship between Adam in his large and small version had influential dramatic aspects, as well as the relationship with the father and mother and its construction and its impact on Adam’s life and its shape with Little Adam and how Adam tried to fix it.
Dramatic aspects appear very heavy. Despite that, the comedy was not absent at all, but was successful in its timing and form and in making jokes, especially in the relationship between Adam in his two versions.
The film maintained a balance of drama and comedy, taking advantage of the presence of Ryan Reynolds, with his usual comedy, and the film continued until the end in a balanced and good manner.
Ryan Reynolds gave a very distinguished performance with a balance between drama and comedy in which he excels in his own way, and the matter did not get out of hand, but it was a successful comedy in its place.
As for the baby Walker Scopal, he was very special and was able to actually appear as a miniature version of Ryan Reynolds, which created a great harmony between them.
Marc Ruffalo and Zoe Salanda performed well, although their appearance was not long, and the film also saw a good performance by Jennifer Garner.
Despite some defects in the visual effects, the output in general was good if the defects in the effects were excluded.
Director Xuan Levi presented a good picture, and although the action scenes were not challenging, there was interest in the way they were executed.
The way the time travel was shown was good and new as well, and the direction was in keeping with the music that was not new but compatible with the genre of films.
The movie deserves a 7/10 rating, as it is a nice family fun movie that can be watched without worry, and it also has a good dose of entertainment and comedy.
